I discovered the practice of yoga at 16 years of age. I slowly found
my way to yoga believing that it would complement my athletic
interests. My passion drove me to complete my 200 Hour Teacher
Training by the age of 18.
I currently lead a strong, yet mindful yoga practice. With an emphasis on
finding the union of the body, mind, and spirit by the way of breath.
My goal is for his students to incorporate the disciplines and lessons of
yoga not just on their mats but to also take those gifts and interweave
them into their everyday lives.
As a Nursing student, I can attest to how powerful yoga can be off
the mat. Whether it is how I prepare for my exams or how I
handle patients in a hospital setting, the fundamentals of yoga, the
benefits, remain the same. My favorite quote comes from the
Bhagavad Gita and it reads, “yoga is the journey of the self, through the
self, to the self.”
